Teacher Testimonial #5 – 8th Grade Integrated Curriculum

I would recommend this as a great and structured way for students to bring the integrated NGSS standards into their classroom. The units have a clear progression of ideas, include a variety of assignments (hands-on, reading, video) to engage learners in multiple ways, and encourage students to do experimentation before being given an “answer” or direction. I also like the different structures in place to support students, like the clear sentence frames for CER, “Stronger and Clearer” and peer editing protocols, and the idea of the project organizer as helping students consolidate their learning at the end of each subunit.
