The exciting part for me as a teacher is using a performance assessment to make [instruction] accessible for students – making [the assessment] a very valuable learning experience, not just evaluating what they know. This has been a big ‘aha’ moment for me. I’m not having all the feelings I feel triggered by when I think of assessment!
